Public Hearing and Vote on an Order Allocating the Property Tax Levy Among or Between Property Classes for Fiscal Year 2025
First Reading of Proposed Loan Order that the sum of $180,000 is appropriated to pay costs of the installation of electric vehicle charging units at (i) Nichols Ave Lot, (ii) Phillips, 30 Common Street, (iii) Skating Rink, 1 Paramount Pl, (iv) Police Headquarters, 552 Main Street and (v) such other locations as determined by the City, including all other costs incidental and related thereto; and that to meet this appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the City Manager, is authorized to borrow said amount under and pursuant to M.G.L. c.44, §7(1), or pursuant to any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the City therefor. FURTHER ORDERED: That any premium received by the City upon the sale of any bonds or notes approved by this order, less any such premium applied to the payment of the costs of issuance of such bonds or notes, may be applied to the payment of costs approved by this order in accordance with Chapter 44, Section 20 of the General Laws, thereby reducing the amount authorized to be borrowed to pay such costs by a like amount.
